The Department of Mathematics, Haji Anfar Ali College (Doboka, Nagaon, Assam) was established with the college in the year 1986. The emergence of Haji Anfar Ali College is a landmark in the history of education in this obscure and remote corner of India. Since its establishment, the department of Mathematics has been striving sincerely to spread higher education in Assam particularly in greater Doboka. The department of mathematics has three faculty members. All of them are Associate Professor. They are Mr. Samser Ali Seikh, M.Sc. B.Ed. (Head), Mr. Abdus Subur Talukdar, M.Sc. and Mr. Pijush Chakraborty, M.Sc. All of them have participated in national and international seminar as participants. Some text books on Mathematics in degree level have published by the faculty member of this department. The department of mathematics has produced many illustrious personalities including academicians and literate social workers. The department has one departmental library with 100 above number of books in mathematics. Bachelor of arts (general), UG CBCS (Regular) courses offered by the department since 2020. A question bank is available in the department. The department of Mathematics believes that edifying progress in the career of the students is possible only through a cordial relationship with the students. Special care is taken to ensure that students with average merit are making advancement in their courses.
