Admission to Haji Anfar Ali College is basically carried out through a transparent online process. For admissions to B.A. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Semesters, students need to apply online through theCollege Admission Portal: www.haaconline.org.in . Admission Fee or Admission Fee Waiver, as the case may be, is as per notifications issuedfrom time to time by the Assam Govt. and /or the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE). The Fee Waiver does not, however, include the Self-financing Courses offered by the College vide Govt. Circular No. PC/HE/SOPD//11/2020/10 dated 17/06/2020.Compulsory Basic Computer Education for All is one such self-financing course for which students have to pay the course fee at the time of admission.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AND TO BE UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF FILLING IN THE ONLINE FORM:

• Each student must have an individual Email ID and a Mobile Phone Number.Thephonenumber is very important, and it will be his/her User ID.
• Bank Account details like name of the Bank, Branch Name, Account Number and IFSC Code
• Recent passport-size photograph (in jpeg/jpg format);specimen signature; scanned copy of HS Pass Marksheet, HSLC Certificate/Admit Card, Caste Certificates(if applicable);the front page of a bank passbook or a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque
• Driving License/ Voter ID/ Aadhaar Card/ PRC/ Ration Card/ Passport/ Bank Pass Book as proof of address
• Gap Certificate by a Notarized Affidavit (if applicable).

HONOURS
Subjects: Assamese, Economics, English, History, Political Science

• Average % of Marks for Qualifying Honours: 50%
• % of Marks in the Subject opted for Honours: 60%
• Honours in the subject opted for is granted strictly in order of meriton a top-down basis of marks obtained in the HSSLC Exams.

FREEADMISSION/FEEWAIVER

• Students whose parental annual income is less than Rs. 2.00 lakh from all sources areeligible for Free Admission / Fee Waiver Scheme (vide DHE OM No. AHE. 354/2021/8,dtd.06/09/2021).
• If either of the parent (mother or father) of the student is working in the State Govt./ CentralGovt./Semi Govt./State or Central Govt. undertakings, s/he shall not be eligibleunderthisscheme.
• Students seeking admission to any self-financing course are not eligible under this scheme.

PROOF OF INCOME / DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR FREE ADMISSION:
An Income Certificate issued by any one of the following-

• The Local Revenue Circle Officer
• The Head of the Institution from where the student has passed out
• A Notary Affidavit by the student or his / her parents.

Please note that the Income Certificate so submitted by the candidate will have to be verified by the Competent Authority within one year, and action as per law will be taken against the candidate(s) whose certificate is established to be false.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES FOR FREE ADMISSION SEEKERS:
Students seeking free admission to B.A. 1st year shall plant a sapling at his/her college or home and shall submit a photograph of the same to the college.She/he hasto nurse the sapling and while seeking admission into the second year by submitting the photograph of the same tree that was planted the year before.

MODE OF PAYMENT OF FEES:
All fees are to be paid online by logging into www.haaconline.org.in . Once paid, the fees will be non-refundable.College authorities will not be responsible for any failure or double transaction.

SEATS FOR RESERVED CATEGORIES:
Seats for SC/ST/OBC/PWD etc. are reserved as per Govt. Regulations. However, so far, admission has been granted to all applicants from these reserved categories.

DOCUMENTS VERIFIED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION
Students must bring and produce the following documents on the day of admission:

1. Computer generated print copy of the filled-in Application Form.
2. Original documents:
   • HSSLC Marksheet,
   • HSLC Admit Card/HSLC Certificate,
   • Caste Certificate(if applicable),
   • Photograph of the sapling planted at home / college with full signature and address of the applicant on the back of the photograph (applicable for free admission seekers),
   • Original Copy of Income Certificate from the local Revenue Circle Officer only(applicable for free admission seekers),
   • Gap Certificate(applicable for those who passed HSSLC before 2022)
