The SNB Central Library of Haji Anfar Ali College, Doboka, celebrated Librarians' Day 2026 with great enthusiasm on August 12, 2026, marking the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. S.R.
Ranganathan, the Father of Library Science in India.
The programme began with a floral tribute to Dr. Ranganathan and a remembrance of his contribution, particularly the Five Laws of Library Science. Gobinda Sarma, Librarian, delivered the main address and highlighted the importance of libraries as centres of knowledge, learning, and student development.
